Bruce Fine Takes The Musical Reins: The Chorus of the Brandywine is pleased to announce that Bruce Fine agreed to become the Musical Director of the Chorus of the Brandywine effective September 1, 2007. For the past 5 years Bruce has been Assistant Director of the Chorus as well as being the choral director of the Greenhill Presbyterian Church and is a member of the American Choral Director's Association and the American Guild of Organists. Bruce comes with a varied music background that includes playing piano since he was five, playing the saxophone and singing in choirs throughout his school years. Bruce has played in bands, sung with Coro Allegro (performing such works as the Brahms Requiem) and the Newark Ecumenical Choir (which performs an annual concert with the Newark Symphony.)

Chorus competes in District Contest!: October 6th, 2007, The Chorus of the Brandywine competed in the Mid-Atlantic District Chorus finals in Wildwood, New Jersey. Of the 95 choruses in the district, the Chorus of the Brandywine is ranked in the top 25% . The Alexandria Harmonizers placed first and will represent our district next July at the international competition. The excitement of song and harmony that took place over the weekend made Wildwood, wilder!
